We have big news!
Our new tubes are here! And oh boy, it wasn't easy getting here. 1.5 years of searching, testing, starting over,… to find the perfect packaging. But we didn't give up, because we knew: if we do it, we do it properly. And now we can proudly say that our tubes are made from 100% recycled aluminium! 🌍
Why aluminium? Simple: it's infinitely recyclable! Yep, you read that right. Where plastic and glass have their limits, aluminium can be used again and again – without any loss of quality. So while disposable plastic and single-use glass take their final ride, your old tube might get a new life as… a new WONDR tube. How cool is that?! ♻️💖
Why WONDR chooses aluminium (and why you should too!)
At WONDR we don't just look for sustainable packaging, we look for the most circular solution. And that led us to recycled aluminium. Our founder Tibbe – an engineer and an eco-geek – dove deep into the science of recycling and discovered something many people don't know:
💚 Plastic? It can often only be recycled 1 to 3 times and then ends up in a landfill anyway.
💚 Glass? It can be recycled infinitely, but it takes a ridiculous amount of energy.
💚 Aluminium? It can be recycled endlessly without any loss of quality and with far less energy.
And it gets even better…
We went all-in. So yes, even the cap is aluminium! 🤩 We are the only company in Belgium doing this and we are super proud of it. No more plastic caps ending up in nature – just a complete tube you can toss into the PMD bag without a second thought. It doesn't get easier than that!
